Starkey LL Families:
We hope you are enjoying your summer! Reminder – just because your team is on break doesn’t mean your practice stops! Stop by a batting cage, play a pickup game with the neighbors, or find a friend to play catch with. Keep up the skills you worked hard on during the spring season!
A few important updates:
- Softball: Due to limited sign-ups and limitations on where our girls can play, we unfortunately have suspended our girls softball program until further notice. All of our baseball programs will continue to be co-ed, with some all-girl teams.
- Age Cutoff: The fall season will be following the 2023-2024 age cutoff. This means “league age” is based on the child’s age on August 31, 2024. Please check our FAQs page to see what division your child should be playing next season. The fall season is focused on fundamentals and when we recommend kids move up!
- Majors: Our baseball Majors division is returning, for kids league age 11-12.
- New Field: Our brand-new baseball field is under construction and will be ready for the fall season! If you haven’t seen it yet, drive by Field 5 to see the progress! It will have a new drainage system, grass infield and pitcher’s mound.
- All Stars: Come support our inaugural All Stars 9-11 team as they play Game 1 of the tournament tomorrow night against Dunedin! Cheer them on in SLL gear!
Starkey vs Dunedin: 940 7th Street South, Safety Harbor 34695. Friday, June 23rd – 6:45PM, Field 5
- Fall Season: Registration will be opening early July. In the meantime, check out our website for updated information on our programs.
Thank you – and don’t forget the sunscreen!
